Kenda Sutton-EL, Birth Justice/ Maternal Health Advocate


  Kenda is a  Holistic Nutritionist, Student Midwife, Certified Lactation Counselor, Reproductive Justice and Maternal Health Advocate, Iridologist, Birthworker, Vaginal Steam Practitioner, Reiki Master, Reflexology,  and Master Herbalist . She attended Old Dominion University, University of Virginia, and New River Community College. Kenda is a passionate advocate of healthy foods, maternal mortality, reproductive justice,  alternative medicine, and nutrition education.  


Kenda states "I believe effective parenting is one of the best ways to improve the world, and parenting begins with pregnancy and birth."

Kenda's greatest pleasure as a student midwife, birth worker, and certified lactation counselor is watching women become confident, joyous and excited about the birth and early parenting of their children. I firmly believe in using any fear and anxiety we might have to examine our choices and beliefs, and find ways of birthing and parenting that are just right for us. 


Kenda has always had a passion for taking care of women. Kenda firmly believes that until every women is safe before, during, and after childbirth that means the agencies and people in charge have not done their job.  Kenda's mission is to improve the health of America’s mothers, children and families. She specializes in promoting preventative health strategies and educates women on family planning.   Eager to help saves moms, Kenda has taken the next steps to become a midwife.
